Glenn Edward Harkrider passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 77. His battle with cancer and serious medical issues over the last year showed his courage in facing life challenges with God's amazing grace.

Glenn was born in Curtis, Arkansas, to Arlin and Orleene Harkrider and had three brothers and four sisters. Glenn accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior as a teen and married the love of his life, Dian Massey, on September 3, 1965. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, two of his brothers, Paul and Claude; two of his sisters, Betty and Bonnie Jean; and his parents-in-law, Irvin and Rece Massey.

Glenn proudly served in the US Army Reserves for over four years and was known for being a hard worker while serving in many different areas throughout his 77 years, including being a mechanic, telephone lineman, ranch manager, oil refinery worker, and construction contractor. Glenn was a cowboy at heart and especially loved traveling with rodeos as a livestock contractor working with rodeo stock. He was a skilled woodworker at home, even building one of the houses he and Dian lived in. Of course, any good cowboy has a horse, and Glenn was no exception. He loved training, boarding, and trading horses. He taught all of his grandkids to ride, and they loved visiting PaPaw and getting to ride on his horses.

Although he was a quiet man, he was never without a Dad joke and had a sense of humor that put everyone around him at ease. He was always thinking of others, and everyone who knew him appreciated his love for Jesus, his family, his integrity, and his unselfishness. He loved Jesus and served him through his local church. He had been ordained as a Deacon in previous years. At the time of his death, he and Dian were members of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church.
