Maverick was a lifelong resident of Muskogee growing up in the Gooseneck Bend area. He had a varied career including working as a grader operator for Muskogee County for ten years. He loved to fish and squirrel hunt and bowled for many years. His biggest passion was playing music. For many years he and his brother played on a Saturday morning radio show in Okay called and Ralph Fain and the Reese Brothers.
Surviving are his son Jeff Reese and wife Paula of Hominy; his partner of fifteen years Marjorie Bryson of Muskogee; three grandchildren Frederick, Leo and Abbie; 14 great grandchildren and two brothers Jack Reese and Bobby Joe "Razor" Reese. Maverick was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Bonny Ellen Reese; brothers Johnnie Reese and Fox Sanders and one sister Corina Wolfe.
