Son of William L Gallaudet and Aletta Anna Storm. He was baptized Date 20 Jan 1861 in New York, New York, at St Anns Church for Deaf-Mutes. His grandfather Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet was co-founder of the first school for the deaf in North America, memorial at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Henry married to Ella Rachel Laing, on January 12, 1886. Their children: Ada Beveridge, Alice Catherine, Peter Wallace and Ralph Laing Gallaudet.

1940 Federal Census, resided with son-in-law Edwin Carter Wilday and daughter Alice. He was 79y, of age, in Elizabeth, New Jersey with his wife Ella. She died Sept 1940.
Henry is listed as a bookkeeper in Elizabeth City Directory 1886-1887.

His death record is not indexed, and ancestry tree, suggests he died shortly after the death of his wife Ella. A photo request was submitted, and unable to fulfill without grave location.
