Anna Calvert Adkins, 94, entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
The Ashland, Kentucky, native was born July 19, 1927, to the late Clarence and Georgia Kirk Blevins but spent most of her childhood with her beloved grandparents, Lewis and Sara Blevins. In addition to her parents, and grandparents, two husbands, Jesse Calvert and Raymond "Chigger" Adkins; and a sister, Betty Hutchinson, preceded her in death.
Anna was a 1945 graduate of Ashland High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ashland and retired following a 22-year career with the Ashland School System.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy (Yohana) Calvert of Ashland, and Randall (Betty Ann June) Calvert of St. Louis, MO; brother, Donald R. Blevins of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Calvert, Will Calvert, Jesse Calvert and Angela Calvert; and two great grandchildren, Joan Crowder and Peter Crowder.
The funeral will begin at Noon, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with Jennifer Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 11:00 A.M. until Noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
