John Robison, s/o James and Jane (Hardy) Robison, was married to Jane (Kincaid) Robison. They were the parents of Addaliza, Thomas, John, Martha, William, James and Joseph Robison. John was born near Mifflintown and later settled in Milford Twp. where he engaged in farming. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and aided in erecting the first church ediface of that denomination at Mifflintown. In politics he adhered to the Whig party, but when the Republican party was organized, he became prominent and active in its behalf. He first married Jane Kincaid, a native of Mifflintown, who died in 1852. They reared 7 children. By a second marriage, to Mary (McCrum) Marley Robison, John had one child, Harvey.
