Jim was raised in Maple Glen, PA. He was a 1976 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and continued his education earning a degree from Temple University. He worked for many years at Ion Systems. Jim met Karen McNichols while vacationing in Avalon, NJ, they married at St. John the Baptist parish and raised their three children in Hatfield and later Collegeville, PA. Jim was a fitness guru and enjoyed training for triathlons. His first in 1990, the Liberty to Liberty, from the Statue of Liberty in New York to the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. A proud moment for him was joining his son Ian in the Steelman Triathlon at Nockamixon State Park in 2007. Jim continued biking and swimming until his last days.
