Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 10, in the chapel of Village Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, KS. Private burial. James was born on January 9, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, living there most of his life. He was the son of Arthur and Evelyn Sayler. He was an Eagle Scout. He was a history buff and collected classic movies. James retired from insurance sales, having worked for AAA and American Family Insurance. He attended and was married in the Village Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Marion, and her husband, Trevor Stone, of Olathe, KS; three children from a previous marriage, Daniel, Phyllis and Kenneth, of the Kansas City area; and one brother, Gordon Sayler of Kansas City, MO."
