Formerly of 354 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, age 84, died unexpectedly Saturday evening at the Americana Nursing Home, Appleton. He was born February 21, 1895 in Oakfield, Wisconsin, and had been a Neenah-Menasha area resident most of his life. He was the manager of the Reeseville Canning Comany from 1928 to 1939 and was employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation until retiring in 1960. He was a World War I Army veteran and was a Past Adjutant and Commandeer of the American Legion Post No 190 in Reeseville.
Survivors include two daughters; Mrs. Swan (Evelyn) Ornsberg, Neenah; Mrs. Russell (Betty) Web, Menasha; a son, George, Ashland, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Tesch, Oakfield, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda, July 10, 1976 and three sisters.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha, with the Rev. Walter Lichtsinn officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum Neenah. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Laemmrich Funeral Home. A memorial for Trinity Lutheran Church has been established.
