“Mrs. Mary Lou Fowler Thomasson, wife of Prof. A.A. Thomasson, died on Monday at 1 p.m. at Sweetwater Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Madisonville on Wednesday (June 21) at 3 p.m. The body lay in state from 2 to 3 p.m. The Rev. B.H. Green, assisted by Rev. Paul Smith, conducted the services. Surviving, besides her husband, are one son, Fowler Thomasson; her mother, Mrs. J.W. Fowler, of Philadelphia [TN]; one brother, W.J. Fowler of Philadelphia, and one sister, Mrs. Cannon Lenoir of Loudon.”
