Donna Marie Brandt, formally known as Donna Gruver, entered eternal life on December 5, 2023. Born in Wilkes Barre on November 20, 1954, but raised in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Ervin W. and Theresa (Zaremski) Gruver. Donna attended William Penn where she later earned her GED. She worked many jobs in her lifetime, however, her fondest was her 20 years at the American Legion in Coaldale where she spent most of her life enjoying moments and making memories with her family. Donna was full of life, kindness and love. She took many around her into her heart and always made them feel at home. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her sister, Kay Anderson, brother, Carl Gruver, and her stepson, Terry. She is survived by her son, James A Spotts and his spouse Tanycha Mattriccino of Coaldale; stepson, Charlie; stepdaughters Michelle and Alana; granddaughters whom she affectionately referred to as "Her Girls," Mariah and her partner, Jennifer, Makayla, Jaylah, Jazlinn; 7 step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 11 in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call 9-10:30 AM on Monday at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua.
