Reuben Ness, 88, of 2288 Grandview Road, Hanover died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday April 21, 1996 at Hanover Hospital. Born July 21, 1907 in Spring Grove, PA he was a son of the late William H. and Elizabeth S. (Bair) Ness. He was the husband of Ruth N. (Kuhns) Ness to whom he was married for 63 years. Ness was a member of Bairs Mennonite Meeting House, Hanover. He was caretaker of York Road Cemetery for more than 40 years. He also worked for United Telephone Co. He was survived by six sons, W. Leroy Ness, Hanover; Daniel K. Ness, Lancaster, PA; Reuben J. Ness, New Oxford; Adam K. Ness, Phoenix, AZ; Charles A. Ness, Skippack, PA; Marlin W. Ness, Greely, CO; one daughter, Mabel A. Baral of Gettysburg; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
