Jesse Billingsley, 99 of Austin died Sunday. He was the last surviving grandson of Capt. Jesse Billingsley, who fought at the Battle of San Jancinto and was a member of the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 8th Legislatures of Texas and 1st Congress of Texas.
Mr. Billingsley was the brother of Maudie Gunn and Maggie McClary of Austin and Pearl Baker of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery Annex with Reverend Bill McDonald officiating.
