Born on December 7, 1942, in the Bronx, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late Jerome and Frances (Casalena) Steinbach.

Arlene's intellectual prowess led her to a distinguished career in healthcare. After completing high school, her passion for aiding others guided her to achieve a Master's of Nursing as well as completing her Nurse Practitioner license from Pace University. She devoted many years to White Plains Hospital in White Plains, NY, where she served as a Head Nurse as well as Nurse Practitioner at Montefiore Hospital, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike.

She was devoted to Yoga where she was one of a very few who could do the Eagle Pose. Her love for the Maltese led a pack that numbered close to 20 over her life. Many family and friends were forced to watch TCM over and over whether they loved movies or not. Her friends were more like sisters, including Gayle, Nancy, Fran S and Fran B and many more, some spanning more than 60 years, while her professional life was marked by intelligence and expertise, her role as a mother and grandmother truly defined her.

Arlene is survived by her loving daughters, Kathleen Garrity and Barbara Collins, and son-in-law, Dennis Collins. She was the proud Grandmother also known as Baci to Christian, Megan, Gregory, Scott and Daniel.

Arlene's legacy is one of unwavering love and commitment; her family was the cornerstone of her life.

Her life, rich in accomplishment and familial dedication, will be celebrated as an example of a life well lived and filled with purpose.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
