Norma Hazel Ackerman, 84, or Menan, Idaho passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Norma was born May 7, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Norman Wilford Taylor and Emma Caroline Hymas Taylor.
Norma attended schools in Menan, Idaho and Rigby, Idaho, graduating from Rigby High School. She has lived in both Idaho Falls, and Menan, Idaho. On August 7, 1958 she married Ronald Keith Ackerman in Menan, Idaho.
Norma has worked at Just's Hardware Store, Carson Bakery, and for last 57 years as a dog groomer. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings as a member of the LDS Church. She provided flowers to lighten things up for church for many years. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening and loved animals.
Norma is survived by her daughters: Sonya K (Victor) Noles of Star Valley Ranch, Wyoming, and Chere W. Garland of Menan, Idaho; a brother, Boyd (Ena) Taylor of Menan, Idaho, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Kurt Ackerman, and a sister, Carolyn Cushman.
A funeral will be held for Norma on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Menan 1st Ward Chapel, (3547 East Menan Lorenzo Highway, Menan, ID 83434). Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
