Katherine L. Fletcher, 99 of Massey, MD passed away on December 11, 2023 at her daughters home.
Mrs. Fletcher was born on June 16, 1924, daughter of the late Samuel and Julia Maule Barlow. She was raised in Middletown, DE and after her marriage in 1943 she moved to Warwick, MD where she raised her family. Katherine was an active member of Mt. Olivet U.M. Church in Warwick, helping with their fund-raising dinners. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, designing wedding cakes and catering with her daughter. In 2018 she moved to Massey with her son.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bayard W. Fletcher, sons, Daniel L. Fletcher and Allen T. Fletcher; son in law, Ronnie Davis and a sister Jeanette Wooleyhan.
Mrs. Fletcher is survived by her children, Samuel Fletcher (Judy) of Massey, MD and Connie Davis of Chesapeake City, MD; a sister Evelyn Holland; 4 grandchildren, Daniel Fletcher, Jr. (Tammy), Allen Fletcher (Helen), Ashley Davis Barber (Ruthie) and Dana Alexander (Dustin); 7 great grandchildren, David Fletcher (Meagan), Danielle Anderson (Montez), Natalia Fletcher, Armondo Fletcher, Wyatt Alexander, Colton Fletcher and Hayden Fletcher and 2 great greatgrandchildren, Eliana Fletcher and Isabella Fletcher.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16 from 10 to 11 am in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD where funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
