Died at her home after a short illness. She was born to Stephen and Mariam Crane at their home east of Jonestown. She spent most of her life in the community south of Dana. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S. and the Plus Ultra Class. She was also a charter member of Dana Chapter Order of Eastern Star and president of the Tott Bales Matrons' Club. Other clubs in which she held a membership were, Merry Housewives, Home and Health, and X.L.B. She was loved for her kindness and hospitality, and her good deeds earned her a place in the hearts of many. Survivors are one daughter, Mariam B. Goforth, 2 grandsons, Jim and Gene; a nephew, Carl Crane, considered a son; and his daughters, Marilyn Seymour and Marthalyn McMahan; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Helt and a host of near relatives and friends.
