Ezra was born to Joseph and Eleanor (Wilson) Elcock.

Ezra married Alma Irene Dailey on Jul. 2, 1889. 3 children were born to this union; William J., Claude J. and Edward.

Ezra attained the age of 93 years, 9 months and 6 days.

The following is from the Lennox Diamond Jubilee Book.

Mr. Elcock's father, Joseph, was a native of Ireland and his mother, Eleanor, was born in Vermont. In 1864 the family came to Minnesota. His father died Apr. 4, 1894 and his mother Oct. 10, 1865.

Mr. Elcock in 1880 came to Dakota Territory with his cousin, Robert Elcock, the trip overland being made in a lumber-wagon. For eight years Mr. Elcock remained with his cousin, experiencing the many hardships witnessed by the early settlers.

Following their marriage on Jul. 2, 1889, Mr. and Mrs. Elcock moved on a farm five miles south of Lennox in Lincoln County, purchasing this land from Robert Elcock in 1912, and residing ther until Dec. 1924, when they retired, moving into Lennox.
