Charles Dennis Bennett, 94, Yellowbud Road (Route 1) died at 1:40 pm Wednesday at his residence after a brief illness. A native of Ross County, he was born Oct. 28, 1884, in Deerfield Township to Jeremiah and Jeanette Hill Bennett. On Oct. 26, 1907, he was married to the former Mary Etta Shasteen who died June 30,1966.

Surviving are seven sons. Albert, Frankfort; Willard and Robert, Yellowbud; George, Williamsport Pike; Henry, Chillicothe; Leonard, Cherokee Road, and Harold, Route 1, Frankfort. Two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Jeanette) Bennett, Chillicothe, and Mrs. Walter (Betty) Crawford, Yellowbud Road; 50 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Claris Bennett, North High St. He was predeceased by a daughter, a brother and three sisters.

He was a member of the Yellowbud United Methodist Church and a 50 year member of Modern Woodmen of America, Camp 10323.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
