Richard Almer Binner, 61, of Smithmill (Janesville), Pa., passed away on December 26, 2014, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law with whom he resided. He was born on April 9, 1953 in West Chester, Pa., the son of Louella Sackman Stinson and William Binner.

He is survived by his best friend and life partner Judy Lyons; a daughter Shawna Rearick and son-in-law Andrew Rearick, Smithmill, Pa.; a son William Lyons, Bellefonte, Pa. Also surviving are three sisters, Judy Rock, Sharmin Helman, and Evelyn Carlin; three brothers, Terry Stinson, Charlie Stinson and William Binner; three grandchildren, Kyle and Brianna Rearick, and Saige Lyons. He was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Perry.

He was an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Janesville VFW.

There will be no public service, for the privacy of the family. Arrangements are being made by Reed Funeral Home, Houtzdale, Pa. Memorial Contributions can be made to the funeral home or to the family at PO Box 116, Smith-mill, PA 16680.
