Joseph Morris Appleton, a resident of Pasadena for the past 18 years, coming here from Dayton, O., died last night at his home, 1237 North Mentor avenue. He is survived by a son, William C. Appleton of Glenridge, N. J.; three daughters, Mrs. H. C. Wollaston of Dayton, O., Mrs. Theodore Heinig of Pasadena; and a sister, Mrs. William M. Hollinger of Palisades, N. J. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Memory chapel of Ives and Warren company, 100 North Hill avenue. Dr. C. C. Sinclair will officiate. Burial in Mountain View cemetery.
