Mrs. Eliza Jane Carruthers, wife of David Carruthers, died early yesterday (29 Jun 1908) morning at her home, 2926 Flora avenue. Mrs. Carruthers was 69 years old. She came to Kansas City in 1884 from Cincinnati, O. She leaves a husband and eight children. John R. Carruthers, Elk City, Ok.; Thomas Y. Carruthers, El Reno, Ok.; Scott Carruthers, Alaska, G.N. Carruthers, United States warship Montgomery; Mrs. G.L. Berry, Uniontown, Ky.; Mrs. C. H. Fisher and Mrs. F. M. Blair of Kansas City.
The funeral will be held at the house at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial is to be in Union Cemetery.
