Mr. Abel died in the Marry Hersee Hospital in Meridian where he had been a patient for the past week. He was a member of the Union Chapel Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Emma Abel of Conehatta, two daughters, Mrs. Sally Mae Chambless of Sylvester, GA and Mrs. Virginia Massey, Morton, MS; two sons, Grady Abel, Conehatta and Talmadge Abel, Puckett, MS; two brothers, Louis Abel of NY and D. F. Abel of AL; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
