John Youngdahl Passes Away in Salinas Hospital

John O. Youngdahl, 85, retired painting contractor, passed away in a Salinas hospital last night after a long illness. He was a native of Dalsland, Sweden and came here to make his home 15 years ago. He was a member of the local painters' union and of the First Methodist church.

Surviving are his widow, three daughters, two sons, two brothers, on sister and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, 3:30 p.m., in Struve and Laporte's chapel, followed by internment in the Garden of Memories.
