Frank C. Massi, 91, of Whitesboro passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at St. Luke's Nursing Home in New Hartford.

He was born on March 8, 1932, in Utica, son of the late Anthony and Stella (Koniszewski) Massi. He served his country with Honor in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. On September 20, 1958, at St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford he was united in marriage to Janice Colonnelli, a blessed union of over 65 years filled with much love and mutual devotion.

He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time that he spent with his family. In his free time, he enjoyed playing bridge and many other card games with family and friends. He also enjoyed walking, often walking several miles a day. He will be remembered by his family as a Jack of all trades who could fix anything and solve any problem. He will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends.

Frank was employed with General Electric in Utica as an Aerospace Engineer retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro and the General Electric Elfun Society.

He is survived by his wife Janice Massi of Whitesboro, his children, Dr. Anthony (Amelia) Massi, Mark (Bernadette) Massi, Kim (Michael) Nassif, and Kristen (Christian) Hess. He leaves his grandchildren: Frank ( Dr. Jacyln) Massi, Valerie (Joshua) Dalton, Maria Massi, Megan (Andrew) Schneider, Andrew Massi, Rachael Massi, Matthew Nassif, Casey Nassif, Nicole Nassif, Elizabeth Hess, and Gavin Hess. He also leaves a great grandchild, Maximus Massi, and sister-in-law, Rosemarie Mancuso. He was predeceased by a sister Dolores (Tom) Doolen, and a brother-in-law/cousin, Louis Mancuso.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Whitesboro. Military Honors will be offered in Church at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass. As per his wishes there will be no public calling hours, the family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, please consider St. Jude's Children's Hospital or St. Paul's Catholic Church in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral.
