The Faribault friends will regret to hear of the death of W. W. Trafton, a former resident of this city at Vancouver, B. C. on March 20. The immediate cause of his death was heart trouble. Burial was made at Vancouver. William Wallace Trafton was born in Portland, Maine in 1859 and for many years made teaching his profession. Due to the trouble that caused his death however he was obliged to discontinue the work. He later took up engineering and was at the head of the mechanical department of Shattuck School 14 years. August 7, 1889 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Francis Russell who preceded him in death May 11, 1900. Mr. Trafton was on the city council in 1896 serving one term. Faternally he was a charter member of Lodge 111 L.O.O.F. and also a member of the Masonic order. Mr. Trafton is survived by his two sons, George Russell Trafton of San Francisco, California and Clarence Holt Trafton of Seattle, Washington, and one grandson, Robert Hadley Trafton.
