Annie Mae Featherston Albright McCoy, 85, of Dallas, won the lottery on Saturday, November 4, 2023. She was born October 9, 1938, in Pender County, to the late Charles Jennings Featherston and Lettie Kathleen Lennon Featherston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lonnie Albright, Jr.; second husband, Max McCoy; siblings, Betty Blackburn, Myrtle Meeks, JC Featherston, Roland Featherston, Mollie McDaniel, Johnny Featherston; and furbaby, Daisy.

Annie Mae loved great big, was patient and kind. She was a wonderful mother, magnificent cook, loved being outdoors, especially fishing and gardening was her passion. She worked at Wix for 20 years and made lifelong friends along the way. Annie Mae will be greatly missed, until we see her again.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Ginger Fields (Jimmy), Belinda Williams (Buddy), Emily Comer (Jeff), Terry Mathis (Scott), Lonnie Porter Albright, III (Janet). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, April Smith (Matt), Eric Fields, Selena Williams, Will Ellis (Kaleigh), Wesley Williams, Callie West (fiance, Ethan Johnson), Nick Comer, Katie Shirley (Max), Samuel Mathis (Shaina), Madison Mathis, Hailey Smith; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruby Wallace, Sally Rhyne, Lila Perkins, Brenda Helms, Playto Featherston; and furbaby, Chance.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 PM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at First Assembly, Gastonia and at other times at the home of her daughter, Belinda Williams 2313 Rhyne Rd. Dallas, NC 28034.

Annie Mae's funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at First Assembly, Gastonia with Rev. Dennis Boyce officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family extends a gracious thank you to the staff at Robin Johnson House for their exceptional care, not only for Annie Mae but our entire family.
