Morris Wade Boshers, age 72, lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday November 15, 2013.
Wade was born April 7, 1941, to the late Willie Webb and Ruby Evans Boshers in the Mt. Pleasant Community. On December 6, 1961, he married Beatrice Boshers who survives him. He is survived by brothers Van Boshers of Columbia, James Ray Boshers of Mt. Pleasant, Sisters Betty (William) Dugger of Columbia, and Sue Ellen Phillips of Bowling Green, KY. Children Stanley (Norma) Kelley, Harold Kelley, Eddie (Shirley) Kelley, James (Barbara) Kelley and Larry Kelley. Grandchildren Donna Wisener, Bart Kelley, Lisa Evers, April Watson, Ryan Kelley, Stacy Cohenour, Dean Kelley, Barbara Kelley, Velva Kelley, Harold Kelley, Tonya Shannon, Tammy Prince, Tracy Kelley, Bonnie Anderson, Billy, Michael, Donny, Johnny Kelley, Lori Nichols, Megan Florea and Jeremy Kelley. Several nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: Brothers Webb, Grover, and Bobby Lee Boshers, Sister Effie Sutton, Dorothy Hicks, and Louise Harris, Sons Roy and Wade Kelley, Daughter Bebe Prince.
He owned his own trucking business and excavating business. He retired from the Mt. Pleasant Police Dept. after 22 years of service. He was a fan of Nascar & Titans football. He enjoyed going to be with his Amish friends. In his early life he enjoyed field trails with his bird dogs. The love of his life was his mules and Mule Day. He enjoyed his wagon rides with his many friends. He was of the Baptist faith. Special to him were Elmer Workman & Charlie Scott and his beloved dog Little Bit.
Services will be at Williams Funeral Home Mt. Pleasant, Monday, November 18th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may visit on Sunday from 3-7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Mt. Pleasant. Bro. Mike Roberts will officiate the service.
Pallbearers include: Donnie Boshers, Jason Boshers, Michael Boshers, Bart Kelley, Ryan Kelley, Phillip Griggs, Michael Kelley, and Billy Kelley.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Donna Wisener, Mike Shipp, Jene Vandiver, Gary Hay, Raymond Workman, George Bullock, Jerry York, Jim Harris, Dr. Bain, past & present Mt. Pleasant Police Dept., Joe Geingrich, and Luther McCafferty.
