Sara E. Jackson, Thelma Woman, Dies Sunday Mrs. Sara E. Jackson, 87, resident of Thelma, died in a local hospital Sunday evening, September 22, following an illness of several months. The daughter of Ben and Nancy Pace Saylor, she was born in Harlan County September 26, 1875. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death twenty-four years ago by her husband, Isaac Jackson. Surviving are four sons, Elisha Jackson, Swamp Branch; Riley Jackson, Ashland; Edward and Eddie Jackson both of Wabash, Indiana; two daughters, Julda Gibson, Swamp Branch; Louise Spears, Thelma; a brother, John Saylor, East Point; a sister, Cora Blanton, City. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., today at the Riceville Freewill Baptist Church with Scott Castle as officiating minister. Burial was in the Conley Cemetery.
