At Chatham he set and broke gymnastics records. At McNaugher, he was the best and the fastest swimmer on the swim team, specializing in the Butterfly stroke. At Perry, he was without question the best lead guitarist. As a young boy playing baseball for Perry Athletic Association, he led the league in home runs and pitched the most shut outs. PR's main love was playing the guitar. He started playing when he was 6 years old. He played in many bands in the states and abroad. The first band was the Brentley, Robinson Band while he was still in high school. He played in the Green Machine, PWR Incorporated, Controversy and many more.

He was lead guitarist and also a vocalist. He had a beautiful clear singing voice with absolute perfect pitch. He sang in the Mt. Zion Evangelical Luthern Church choir in his youth. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was 16 years old. He attended Brown Chapel AME and Christian Tabernacle Kodesh Church of Immanue; as a young child and teen.

He truly could not maneuver through life without an electric guitar in his hand. There was not a day that went by that he didn't play. He like the Jackson 5 was definitely born to entertain! His dedication to his guitar passion earned him the title of one of the best guitarist, musicians throughout Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio. George Benson, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn were his inspiration. He was dubbed "Brick" because his opponents would drop like a ton of bricks, but only if he was truly provoked.
