John Henry Linn 78, Columbus, passed from this life to meet his sav- iour on November 2nd, 2020 due to complications from the covid-19 virus. John was born on July 31, 1942 to Eugene and Ruthie Jane Glasgow Linn. John grew up in the White Creek area of Bar- tholomew county, with an abundance of siblings and friends. After graduation from Columbus High School, John went on to work at Cummins along side his father. When he wasn't working he was fishing or hunting.

Later in life John also did a lot of volunteer work for Love Chapel which he enjoyed greatly. The country boy never left John as many Saturdays found him out at his friend Jimmy's house where they would grind feed for the cows or put up hay.

John is survived by his sister Carol Banks and brother-in-law Carl Banks of Columbus; nieces, Lisa, Pam, Teresa, Linda, Nickie and many more nieces and nephews; also, life companion Marcia Linn, stepdaughter Lisa Meek, step-grandson Kaydyn Burke, and friend Matthew Read.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ruthie Jane and Eugene Linn; brothers David, Gilbert, Gerald Linn; sisters Barbara Allman, Frances Linn.

Due to the rise in the number of covid-19 cases, the memorial service will be held at a later date. The Jewell — Rittman Family Funeral Home is serving the family.
