March 30, 1963 - January 9, 2024

Joseph Edwin Warren was born on March 30th,1963 and passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2024 after a two month long hospital stay. Both brothers and a handful of friends were with him.

Joey was brought up at Jackson Park Church of Christ and baptized at the age of 8. He attended Goodpasture Christian School, playing football, following in Danny's footsteps and wearing his number…47.

He always had a love of working with cars and restoring old cars. He was the owner of East Nashville Auto Clinic, where he was a highly skilled and respected mechanic for many years. His mechanic skills were such that he was contracted to live and work in Saudi Arabia for a period of time. He was well known for honesty and integrity with his customers. Although he had a tough exterior, Joey had a soft heart and was always quick to help anyone in need. He could fix anything and loved helping people at any time, night or day.

He had a special place in his heart for children and the elderly. During his time in the hospital, friends and family shared countless stories of his kindness and generosity. Many called him "Uncle" Joey. He loved animals, especially his dog Bear.

Kimiko, Amiko, and Kevin remember him taking them to the toy store at Christmas and turning them loose to get whatever they wanted. Elijah remembers Uncle Joey giving him superhero movies that he loved to watch. Lillie fondly remembers him kissing her on the forehead each time they said goodbye.

When Billy was ill, Joey took donuts every weekend and built a ramp so he could come and go easily. He spent lots of time helping Nancy with her house and chauffeured her to several holiday dinners with family.

Joey is preceded in death by his parents Ed and Nancy Warren and Billy and Myrmia Donnell.

Joey is survived by his older brother Danny Warren (Virginia) and his younger brother Adam Donnell (Heather); nieces Kimiko Daniel (Thomas), Amiko McPherson (Tim), and Lillie Donnell; nephews Kevin Warren (Kimberly) and Elijah Donnell; great nephews Aiden McPherson and Dallas McPherson.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends and especially by brothers, Adam and Danny.

The family deeply appreciates the incredible care by the nurses, doctors, and staff at Skyline and St. Thomas West hospitals.

The family cordially invites guests and relatives for a time of visitation on Friday, January 19th, 2024, from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the afternoon at Spring Hill Funeral Home. There will be a brief time of visitation on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, from twelve thirty in the afternoon until one thirty in the afternoon with a service to follow at Jackson Park Church of Christ in Nashville.
