Bonnie "Gay" Alma Hendrix Kestner Obituary
Bonnie "Gay Hendrix Kestner, 84 of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Kestner, parents, James and Nora Hendrix, grandson, Stuart Kestner, brother, Jerry Hendrix, sister, Loretta Beeson, and son-in-law, Cecil Hoyt II.

She was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Springwood Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 135.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Millicent Kestner; daughter, Joann Hoyt; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Annette Kestner; grandchildren, Rhiannon Leebrick, Sarah Newton, Aaron and Liam Sweeny, Cecil, III, Joe, Danny, Nick, Ben, and Wren Hoyt, Anna Montgomery (& caregiver), Melody, Chase, Nathan, and Brian Kestner, and Lyndsay Bannister; and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Anita Hendrix Williams; brother, Eudell Hendrix; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services with Eastern Star Ceremonies will be held 11 am Thursday, October 6, 2022 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
