Loretta Lee Heaton passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Pleasanton, California at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 16 days. She was born on January 28, 1936 in El Dorado, Kansas to Anson Ray and Mildred Emily (Wilson) Ratley. On April 2, 1952, in Yuma, Arizona, she was united in marriage to John David Heaton Jr., who passed away on May 7, 1997, and to this union five children were born.
She had been a resident of Turlock for fifty-four years. She enjoyed watching golf and baseball (SF Giants) on television, reading romantic novels, playing Sudoku and going out to eat with "The Milgroms". She thought highley of her neighbors, Paul and Fran. She has resided at the Western View Mobile Ranch Park since 2002.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband, Jack; her brother, Monte Ray Ratley; a sister, Diana Marie (Ratley) Blankenship; and her in-laws, Mary Madeline (Dean) and John David Heaton Sr.; and her longtime friend, Irene Milgrom.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Dean (Carolyn) Heaton, Jackie (Jerome Price) Heaton, Carrie Heaton, John (Karen) Heaton and Leslie (Rob) Machado; six grandchildren, Chris
(Laura) Heaton and Katie Heaton, Kelli (Sam) Sharpe and Stephen (Chelsea) Hendryx, Ryan Machado and Olivia Machado; three great grandchildren, Parker Sharpe, Kacey and Riley Heaton; her sister, Betty Jo Consolver; brother, Orville (Nora) Ratley; also numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing at Allen Mortuary on Thursday January 25, from 4pm to 7pm. On Friday January 26, at 11:00am, there will be a celebration of Lee's life at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on January 26, and she will then be laid to rest with her husband, Jack.
