SAN MATEO, Fla. - Vergie Clare Harp, 69, of San Mateo, Fla., mother of two Columbus residents, died Tuesday at her home.
A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus.
Mrs. Harp was born Oct. 31, 1916 in Georgia daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rogers. She was a homemaker, a Protestant and the widow of Frank Harp Sr.
Survivors include three sons Frank Harp Jr. and Clarence Harp, both of Columbus, and James N. Harp of Atlanta; a brother Charles M. Rogers of Calumet City, Ill.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may go to the American Cancer Society.
