Bernice Sevilla McCurdy was born on August 9, 1920 to Ross and Carrie (Raines) Carthel in Lockney, Texas. She passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2008 in Jacksboro, Texas. She was 87 years old. She married the late Jack McCurdy in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a retired restauranteur. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack McCurdy; her daughter Bobbie Dolores Chambers and her brothers Alvin and Bud McCurdy. She is survived by her Fiance Jess Nunley of Jacksboro; daughter Jan Duvall of Davis, Oklahoma; sons Jack McCurdy of Grand Prairie, Texas, Rick McCurdy of Monahans, Texas and Mickey McCurdy of Davis, Oklahoma; brother Leo Carthel of Hennepin, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren .
