Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Adelaide Guertin. Barbara worked within Warwick as Bus Driver and Lot Manager for the former United Truck and Bus, now known as First Student. She truly enjoyed spending her days with the school children. She also worked as a Dispatcher for R.I.P.T.A. While retired she continued to work as a Marketer for Acosta for many years.
Barbara loved her life, she enjoyed listening to her country music, dancing, and sharing bad jokes with those around her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she was always down for a game of scrabble or a card game like cribbage. she loved to travel, go to concerts and bowl. One of her proudest moments was runner up in a Miss. Warwick pageant.
She leaves three daughters, Karen J. Blanchard and her husband Robert, Susan J. McKerracher and her husband Todd, and Tracy L. Turco and her husband Tyrone; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Leslie, Eric, Darrell, Alex, Danielle, and Katelynne; and four great-grandchildren, Paige, Julio, Raven, and Aurora.
Relatives and friends are invited to join her Funeral Service on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 7:00PM in Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior from 4:00-7:00PM. A private burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence at a later date.
