Donald J. Peloquin, 93, of Brenham passed away on January 16, 2024.

Don was born August 26, 1930 to Elmer and Gladys (Rousseau) Peloquin, Kent County, Warwick, R.I. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters Catholic Church, Warwick, RI. He was schooled in Warwick, R.I. and graduated from Nelson W. Aldrich High School in 1948.

Don joined the Airforce in April 1951 and was stationed with the 29th Air Defense Command at Great Falls Air Force Base in Great Falls and Billings Montana. He was discharged April 1955 as a S/Sgt. He took advantage of the G.I. Bill and finished his education in Montana.

Don worked for Hoiness-LaBar Insurance and Bonding Company in Billings, Montana and retired after 36 years, July 1999. Through 2 mergers he actually retired from the U.S. Bank.

Don was a member of the Elks and American Legion Post 4, Billings Montana and the Brenham Rotary Club. Don volunteered with the Trinity Medical Center for 20 years. He was a volunteer with the Texas Department of Human Service as an ombudsman for Patients' Rights and worked with Gazebo Terrace Nursing Home for 15 years. Volunteered with the Brenham Police Department and the Washington County Sherrif's Office.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Elmer Peloquin of Dallas, Texas; two nephews, Christopher and Steven Focht of No. Kingston, R.I. (Perhaps more).

He leaves behind numerous family members and special friends Frank Nowak and Bobby and Connie Posinski.

A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18th at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19th at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Deacon Al Prescott officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brenham, Tx and Amedisys Hospice, Bellville Tx.
