Margaret Joplin White of St. Joseph's Manor in Meadowbrook died Sept. 26 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was 92.

Born in Tahoka, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Seeb and Florence Porter Joplin. She was the wife of the late Zebulon Lewis White Jr.

Mrs. White graduated from the University of Illinois in 1929 with a bachelor of arts in English. She worked for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago, and later accepted a job with the Cabot Co. in Boston. An education enthusiast, she studied a variety of subjects at the University of Chicago and Harvard University.

In 1951, her family moved to Abington, where Mrs. White was involved in many community activities. In 1957, she became one of the first women in the area to earn her real estate license and remained active in real estate for 30 years. Her hobbies included bridge, sewing, gardening, reading and exercising.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol Saunders of Meadowbrook, Porter Titlow of Tioga and Dail Deitrick of Yorba Linda, Calif; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Seth Joplin.

A memorial service will be held Oct. 28 at noon in the chapel of St. John's Episcopal Church, Huntingdon Valley.
