Mary Lee Adkins, age 76, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. She was born in Walker County, Georgia, to the late Horton and Mary Abbott. Mary had been a lifelong resident of the Rossville, GA area. She was a member of the Rossville Church of God in Rossville, GA. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed reading her Bible and doing word puzzles in her quiet time.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elizie "George" Adkins; their son, William "Keith" Adkins; parents Horton and Mary Abbott; sisters Myrtle Abbott and Ola Johnson, and brothers, Fred Abbott, Ralph Abbott, Bennett Abbott, and Marcel Abbott.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Nancy Marie Adkins of Rossville, GA and Mary Alice Adkins of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, January 24, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the funeral home Chapel. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Rock Spring, GA.
