Flora was the only child of William and Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" (Woolsey) Mecham. The 1900 census shows the family living in Chicago, her father a teamster. She was married here in Knox County 17 Nov 1904 to Harry Ramey Wilson. She was Harry's third wife. Helen Louise was born the next year, and son William M. in 1908. The 1910 and 1920 censuses shows them living in Galesburg. Son William was not alive in 1920. Flora was granted a divorce from Harry on 11 Feb 1927 in Galesburg, and she soon married Clayton E. Lambert, a widower. Their marriage was very short lived; he died 31 Jul 1927, and buried in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg.
On 23 July 1928 her only daughter Helen Louise committed suicide. She lost her father 24 Oct 1930, and her mother 14 Mar 1935. The next month, on 20 Apr 1935, in Davenport, Iowa, she married Ernest "Lee" Worley, himself a widower. The 1950 census shows her living in the Knox County Home, separated and unable to work. She died there on 11 May 1951, and was buried in the Knoxville Cemetery on her father's lot. She was survived by her only grandson, John William "Billy" Severns, son of Helen Louise and Perry Severns, whom Flora helped raise.
