Harry was born October 28, 1939 in Livingston, Texas and passed away January 21, 2024 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lester Armitage and Lottie Mae (Moffett) Armitage; and wife, Julia Ann Armitage.



Harry was a member of First Baptist Church in Goodrich, Texas, First United Methodist Church in Livingston, Texas, and Leggett Baptist Church in Leggett, Texas.



A dedicated family man and hard worker, Harry took on several career ventures throughout is life. He served the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department from August 1970 through September, 1977. He was also a member of the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Dive Team. He worked for many lumber companies, including: Precision Lumber Co., CLW Lumber Co., Leggett Lumber Co., Cal-Tex Lumber Co., Dean Lumber Co., W.D. Townley Lumber Co. and Arkansas Forest Products. He was employed by Good Year and LL Walker Propeller. Harry was also the former owner of The Whistle Stop Café and J&H Welding.
