Glenda Kaye Bowman, age 81, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett, Missouri. She was born September 21, 1941, in McKinley, Missouri, the daughter of Wallace and Opal Marie (Watson) Bolin.

Kaye attended Mt. Vernon High School. She worked at First National Bank in Mt. Vernon and was a General Manager for hotels in Springfield and Branson, Missouri. Kaye was a member of the Mt. Vernon Assembly of God Church.

On July 2, 1958, she married Maynard Jay Bowman, in Harrison, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2008.

Kaye is survived by her daughter, Debbie Cooper and her husband, Steve, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one son, Greg Bowman, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tiffany Blansit and husband, John, of Springfield, Missouri, Holly Hall and her husband, Josh, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Shandi Bowman, of Clinton, Missouri and Jerrek Bowman and his wife, Stacy, of Wheaton, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren, Erica, Emilee and Canaan Blansit, Kyra Jensen, Adelyn, Lola and Zoey Hall, Xander Cooper, Morgan Slaughter, Carter and Darrin Bowman; one great-great granddaughter, Nova House; one sister, Nita Martin and her husband, Mick, of Republic, Missouri; two brothers, Steve Bolin and his wife, Debbie, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Boyd Bolin and Linda Day of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and sister-in-law, Jan Bolin, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace, and Opal; husband, Maynard; grandson, Braden Bowman and two brothers, Dale, and Jimmy Bolin.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Blue Eye Cemetery on State Line Road, Blue Eye Missouri.
