Miss Baudizzon, Bill Cundiff Wed in Ventura

MISS Charlotte Baudizzon and Bill Cundiff repeated their marriage vows in a civil ceremony Saturday morning, performed in Ventura by Judge Richard Heaton.

Daughter of Mrs. Mary Baudizzon of 1527 Saticoy street, Santa Paula, the bride chose for her marriage a ballerina length dress of white satin, inset with crystalline. Her jewelry was an heirloom pearl necklace and earrings and carnations were her flowers.

Mrs. Virginia Hernandez, as the bride's matron of honor, wore a dress of powder blue satin with crystalline and a bouquet of carnations.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Doc Scurlock of Rt. 2, Box 241, Santa Paula, the bridegroom asked Frankie Hernandez to be his best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Angel Garcia of San Francisco were among those extending best wishes to the newlyweds at the afternoon reception in the home of the bridegroom's parents, where Lydia Garcia, Angelina Baudizzon and Mrs. Katherine Baudizzon assisted.

Following their honeymoon trip to Big Bear lake, the newlyweds will establish their home at Rt. 2, Box 241, Santa Paula. A 1953 graduate of Santa Paula high school, the bride is employed by the Talley corporation in Newbury Park. She chose an aqua dress with pink accessories for going-away. The bridegroom was graduated from Brawley high school in 1941 and is now with Standard Oil of California in Oxnard.

NIPOMO, CA

William A. Cundiff was born in Missouri o February 15, 1922 to Lloyd Cundiff and Mabel Baker. He had a younger brother, Lloyd Jr. who passed away in 1984. He ame to California when he was 15 years old. In 1943, the went into military service and was in the Coast Guard during World War II. In 1946, when the war was over, he was discharged after serving 3 years, 3 months and 17 days. Bill worked for Standard Oil Company, now known as Chevron, for 37 years before he retired in 1984.

Bill was married to his wife, Charlotte, 58 years. He is survived by his loving wife and his four children. Garey Cundiff of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, his daughter Sharon Davis of Volcano, CA, his son, Dale Cundiff of Ojai, CA and his daughter Lisa Walker of Arroyo Grande, CA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Garey Cundiff Jr and John Cundiff of Ventura, CA, Julie Ranum of Pine Grove, CA, Clayton and Matthew Cundiff of Camarillo, CA, Amelia Barra of Camarillo, CA and James Dakota (Coty) and Ashlyn Walker of Arroyo Grande, CA. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Bill and Charlotte lived in Santa Paula, CA for years before moving to Nipomo, Ca to be with their youngest daughter and grandchildren. They have been living on the central coast for 27 years.

Bill and Charlotte were member of the Ventura County Model A Ford Club where they enjoyed their 1931 Model A. They have many fond memories of the friends they made during the 20 years in the club. After retiring from Chevron, he enjoyed many years of retirement. During retirement, he drove for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for 4 years and spent his free time gardening, building his granddaughter a play-house, and tinkering in his garage.

His family will remember him as warm and caring man. He was a man of the highest ethical standards and his family will always be very proud of him. We will miss him dearly.

The memorial service will be held at the Santa Paula cemetery on March 19th at 10:00 a.m.
