Gwen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Colonel Warren R. Lilly, U.S.A.F. Ret. POW Vietnam.
She is survived by her only sibling, Warren McGehee and
Her two sons, Larry Furlong and Karen Furlong and Michael and Lori Jo Furlong.
She was the best Mimi in the whole world to her grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley(Matt) Annabelle and Emily(David)and five great grandchildren, Jessi, Madison, Jayce, Savanna and Sienna.
When Gwen married Bob, June 4, 1986, she gained an additional family, three children, numerous grand and great grandchildren. Bob's daughter Patsy, and Gwen became close and Gwen loved her like a daughter.
Gwen was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from Catholic High in 1954. She was married to her first husband, Gerald A. Furlong, from 1954-1983. With the exception of a few years, in Detroit Michigan, she lived her entire adult life in the same house in Grove Hill Estates for 64 years. After Bob's passing in 2007, many of her neighbors became family and they were the daily blessings in her life that gave it meaning. She will be especially missed by her dear neighbors, Tom and Wanda Green and good friend, Diane Trueil.
Gwen took great pride in her family, her home and her yard and garden. Toto, her dog, was her best friend and companion. This is what brought joy to her life.
