Rocky Point -- Annie Belle Hayes Sidbury, 84, of Rt. 1 Rocky Point died Tuesday in Pender Memorial Hospital.
Born in Rocky Point, Sept. 28, 1892, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Mattie Brown Hayes.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Quinn McGowan Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George Hocutt and Dr. William D. McSwain officiating. Burial will follow in Pike Creek Cemetery.
Surviving are one son, Thomas F. Sidbury of Rocky Point; one sister, Miss Danie H. Hayes of Burgaw, one brother James B. Hayes of Rocky Point, one grandson Alfred S. Sidbury of Hampstead, two great-grandsons, Tom an Larry Sidbury of Hampstead, six step-grandchildren, Mrs. Daphne Rackley of Wallace, Mrs. Lavern Woodcock of Vernon, Mrs. Louise Woodcock of Atkinson, Mrs. carolyn Rhodes of Wilmington, Danny Debose of Wilmington and Robert G. Debose of Wichita, Kansas; nine step-great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be Charles Sidbury, R. L. Batts, Bill Beasley, Ivey Player, and John White.
