WILLIS R. NEMYER
DALEVILLE - Willis Ray Nemyer, 59, 401 W. Fifth St., died Sunday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after an extended illness.
A native of Terre Haute, he lived in Anderson most of his life before moving to Daleville. He was employed at Nicholson File as a carpenter, retiring in 1973, and worked in production at Chevrolet Motor Division, Muncie. He was a World War II veteran.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266, Florida Station Church of God and Avondale Sympathy Club.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Jessie Rainer; seven daughters, Mrs. Foster (Joyce) Walker of Anderson, Mrs. Ron (Terri) Partain of Alemeda, Calif., Mrs. Jeffy (Marcia) Thompson of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. David (Dorothy) Thompson of Anderson, Mrs. Darrell (Leisa) Riddle of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Rodney (Nancy) Knotts of Daleville and Mrs. Jack (Madonna) Patterson of Anderson; three sons, Stephen Nemyer of Anderson, David Nemyer of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mark Nemyer of Daleville; 23 grandchildren; a great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Johnny (Jo Allen) Comer and Mrs. Johnny (Deloris) Myers of Anderson; a half brother, Robert Nemyer of Selma; a half sister, Jane Drury of Yorktown; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert D. Loose Funeral Home with the Rev. Morris Critser officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society of Delaware County.
