Steven K Gillett- Age 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends on April 13, 2020 in Edwardsville, Kansas.

Steve was born November 5, 1952 in Henry, Michigan. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Pierson Park Lake Shelter, 1800 S. 55th Street, Kansas City, Kansas on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.

Steve was a talented musician and singer with a kind and caring heart and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all.
He will be remembered for his big heart, selflessness, strength and loyalty, friendly smile and warm personality.

Steve was preceded in death by his wife JoEllen and Brother Andrew Gillett. Those left behind to honor and cherish his memory are:
Parents: Jim and Lilah Gillett; Brother: Don Gillett; Sister: Susan Gillett; Step Son: John Silkner; Step Daughter: Jessica Silkner and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Steve was the singer and lead guitar player for Stevie and Jive Tones for 30 years. Stevie and the Jive Tones played many nearby Festivals, River boats, and Clubs throughout the Kansas City metro. He will be missed by the other members of the band: Louie Bernal-Drums, Les Poston-Slide/Rhythm Guitar, and Steve "Backbone" Ramsey on Bass, together with all of the Jive Tone fans.
