Mary Ann Mittermier married Albert C. Brown, a native of York State, Toronto, Canada, on August 9, 1881, in Flint, Genese, Michigan. Eight children were born to the couple in Saginaw, five of whom lived to adulthood. By 1908 if not sooner, Mary and Albert had moved to Los Angeles, California with their children Myrtle, Mabel, Alice, Russell and Ruth. Albert was a self-employed contractor and later worked as an engineer for an oil company. He initially purchased a home for his family at 2919 Santa Monica Street. By 1920, he had purchased a home at 603 St. Andrews Place. Albert and Mary's five children married and remained in the Los Angeles, California area. Myrtle married James Kammerdiner on November 26, 1908 at Santa Ana, California. Mabel married Samuel P. Morse on June 30, 1909 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hollywood, California. Daughter Maureen married Charles Gordon Richter on November 8, 1913, at Los Angeles, California. Son Russell married Adelaide Gertrude Crouchley, daughter of Edwin Werry and Anna Spies Werry, in Los Angeles on July 20, 1921. Their youngest daughter Ruth married Fred "Monti" Monteverde, and on July 23, 1922, they became parents of a son, Jack Monteverde. The young couple and their son lived with Albert and Mary Ann in their home on St. Andrews Place for several years and assisted with their care. Mary Ann lived to the age of 72, passing away on April 27, 1933. Albert lived until January 10, 1935.
