Stephen Lawrence Bushnell, age 66, of Lincolnton passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The committal service to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the service.
Stephen was born on September 17, 1957. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Perry Howie. He was retired after 34 years as a reactor operator for Duke Energy at McGuire Nuclear Station.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnne Bushnell of the home; two sons, Mike Bushnell (Nikki) of Lincolnton and Andrew Bushnell of Iron Station; one daughter, Chrissy Mishoe of Lincolnton; one step-son, Aaron James of Asheville; his father, Lawrence M. Bushnell of Cramer Mountain; three sisters, Rebekah Woodward (David) of Charlotte, Beth Caskey (Mike) of Matthews and Joy Whitlatch (Bobby) of Boone; and three grandchildren.
The family would like to express thanks to the staff of Hospice of Lincoln County for their help during this time.
