John graduated from Woden High School in 1963. Spending his entire life in the Melrose community, he worked as a farmer and
rancher. Those that knew him knew that he was a hard worker. In his free time, he enjoyed sitting on his porch watching nature, and
enjoying God's beauty. John was a faithful member of the Melrose Methodist Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Kenneth Mettauer
